TIGER DISCOVER: Exploring the Innovation of Zurich, Switzerland

When it comes to innovation, Switzerland ranks #1 among the top world economies, according to the Global Innovation Index. At the heart of its success is an ecosystem that connects companies, educational institutions, and entrepreneurs. 

This was brought home to TIGER 21 Members worldwide who attended the recent TIGER DISCOVER Zurich event through an imaginative itinerary of activities devised by Zurich TIGER 21 Chair Eric Sarasin along with his Members. 

Agenda highlights included:

• A showcase of the evolution of innovative technologies that have led luxury brands such as watch-maker Bucherer and chocolate-producer Lindt to become synonymous with Swiss quality and luxury.
• A presentation of the latest advances being made in sustainable technologies through the work of leading science and technology university ETH Zurich and its spin-offs. Immersion into the local art, culture and history through visits to locations like Fraumünster Church, known for its stained-glass windows designed by artist Marc Chagall, the iconic Kronenhalle restaurant, and Sprüngli Café, one of the points of origin of the city’s coffee culture.

The TIGER DISCOVER program joins TIGER 21 Members from different regions to explore the entrepreneurial scene, investment opportunities, and unique culture of cities around the globe.
